Stormy was a surprise but welcome addition to our pack. Coming from a very unique and interesting pedigree mixing an all-American sire with a beautiful Scandi dam she really got the best of both worlds. She has a tremendous amount of bone and substance and is a larger girl at the top of our standard. She is very sound in movement with a huge side gait, a beautiful front and gorgeous rear; her silhouette is quite striking. She has a very easy-going temperament with just a touch of spunk which makes her fun in the show ring. Stormy is a great-granddaughter to Qing, the nation's top winning PH of all time and she is starting to follow in his paw steps!
Stormy finished her championship at 16 months of age by going BOS over specials. She is a wild child in the ring but is incredibly food motivated. She finished her GCh easily at just over 2 years of age with limited showing always owner handled. Stormy has also decided that lure coursing is quite fun. At her first trial she went BOB for a 5-pt major! She is also our fastest PH, running in the Fast CATs she clocked in at 27.58 mph which places her 3rd in rankings for speed!
In Jun 2019 she earned her first AKC group placement (group 2) in Coeur d'Alene, ID and in July 2019 Stormy had a great weekend in Sequim, WA taking a group 3, a group 1 and a group 4! In August 2019 Stormy makes history by becoming the first PH to go Best in Specialty Show (group 1) at the Western Washington Hound Assoc show and she followed it up the next day with a Group 2. She is now a Best in Specialty Show winning, multi-group winning, multi-group placing special.
