ACE Pharaoh Hounds
About ACE Pharaoh Hounds:
The name ACE is an acronym derived from our first three boys (Anubis, Cairo and Emerson). We thought it was fitting to create our name after the three boys that started it all.
History:
We acquired our first two Pharaoh Hounds in 2007 from Sarah Heimburg and have been hooked on them ever since. Anubis and Cairo taught us a tremendous amount about Pharaoh Hounds as a breed, sighthounds as a group and dogs in general. They have taken us into the realm of dog sports that we never really knew existed. We have learned to have a deep appreciation for this ancient breed and are still learning new things even after over a decade of owning them! We never intended to become so involved with PHs, we were the classic story of two people looking for a pet/companion to share our home with when we acquired our first two boys. As we raised them we became fascinated and fell in love with the breed. We wanted to become more involved so we started lure coursing. The dogs enjoyed it so much that we picked up straight/oval track racing shortly after that. An event sponsored by the Mount Hood Pharaoh Hound Club led to a fun herding day where Anubis earned his Herding Instinct Certification. The summer of 2011 saw our entrance into conformation with our first show dog and the rest is history!
Vision:
We are dedicated to Pharaoh Hounds that are true to type and form. We aim for dogs that will excel in lure coursing, obedience, conformation, temperament and health. It is going to be a long road ahead but we are looking forward to the challenges that we will face. We are looking forward to a long and bright future with our Pharaoh Hounds.
Location:
We are located in Snohomish, WA on five fully fenced acres. All our dogs live inside our home and are very much a part of our family. We love our dogs and enjoy their company.
Who we are:
The humans behind ACE Pharaoh Hounds are Jenelle and Todd. Outside of our love for the breed we also enjoy a multitude of other activities like rock climbing, ballroom dancing, traveling and yard work! Typically if you ever see one of us, a dog or two or more will be with us!
