2011 Summary

December 2011

Griffyn goes WD, BP, BOW and BOB to earn another 2 pts then he went Best Puppy in Group and then an amazing Group 4 to earn another 2 pts on Saturday (Dec 10). He showed extremely well against a competitve hound group of 15 breeds! Way to go Griffyn! Rebel was RWD and looked gorgeous!
Griffyn goes WD, BP, BOW, BOB to earn his first CKC major and then took Best Puppy in Group on Friday (Dec 9). At the second show on the same day (Dec 9), Griffyn goes WD, BP and BOS to earn another point towards his CKC title. Rebel was RWD both shows. They both looked fantastic and had a great time!

Day 2 of CKC shows (Nov 26), Rebel goes WD, BP, BOW, and BOB to earn another point towards his CKC title. Griffyn was RWD. A great weekend for both pups!
Rebel goes WD, BP and BOS on Friday (Nov 25) to earn another point towards his CKC Ch. title. Griffyn was RWD.
Rebel goes WD and BOS on Sunday (Nov 20) to earn another point towards his AKC Ch title. Griffyn was RWD. Both boys showed very well and we are proud of both.
Griffyn goes WD and BOS on Saturday (Nov 19) at his very first AKC show to earn his first point sponsored by the Whidbey Island Kennel Club. Rebel was RWD and looked absolutely wonderful in the ring. Congrats to both boys.

CKC show Day 3 (Oct 10), Rebel goes WD, Best Puppy in Breed and BOS to earn another point towards his CKC Championship. Griffyn again goes RWD but started to get the hang of this whole show thing! It was a very successful three days of showing.
CKC show Day 2 (Oct 9), Rebel goes WD, BOW, Best Puppy in Breed and BOS to earn another point towards his CKC Championship. Griffyn goes RWD and had a fun time in the ring!
Rebel, at his first CKC show, goes WD, BOW, Best Puppy in Breed and BOB to earn his first CKC major on Saturday (Oct 8)! Griffyn, at his very first show ever went RWD to the major on Saturday (Oct 8). Both boys did extremely well and we are proud of both!
As of October 2011 both Emerson and Cairo are ranked in the top 10 in the nation for PHs running in LGRA. What a huge accomplishment for both boys.

In our last race meet of the year (Oct 1), Emerson takes 1st place earning 1 more point towards his GRC title. Cairo comes in a close 2nd place to earn .5 more points towards his GRC title and Anubis came in last. What a great day for the boys!!!
In our last lure coursing trail of the year (Sept 17), Cairo earns his first LCX point taking 3rd place in the Specials stake with a total of 11 PHs running. Emerson unfortunately got unsighted in both his runs so placed last in the Specials stake and Anubis took 4th in the Open stakes. All in all, a nice way to end the season!
Rebel goes WD on Saturday (September 10) at an AKC conformation show sponsored by the Bellingham All Hound Club.

Rebel goes WD on Sunday (August 28) at an AKC conformation show sponsored by the Samammish Kennel Club. Counts were (1-1) - (2-1).
Rebel goes RWD on Saturday (August 20) at an AKC conformation show sponsored by the Olympic Kennel Club. Counts were (2-1) - (1-1).

Cairo takes 1st place (out of 3 PHs) on Saturday (July 30) to earn 2 pts then went BOB to earn a 3 point major and become a new Field Champion!!!! Emerson took 1st place in the specials stake and Anubis took 2nd place (out of 3 PHs) to earn one more point towards his FCh title! It was a great day for the boys. We are very proud of them!
Cairo takes 1st place on Saturday (July 23) in the open stakes, Emerson takes 1st place in the special stakes and then Cairo wins BOB for another point at a lure coursing trail!
Emerson takes 1st place (out of 3 PHs) on Sunday (July 17) for lure coursing after becoming a brand new champion and earns his first 2 points towards his LCX title. Cairo takes 3rd place (out of 5 PHs) to pick up 1 more point towards his FCh title. Anubis came in last but had a blast running! Everyone did great and we are thrilled with how they did this weekend.
Emerson takes 2nd place (out of 6 PHs) on Saturday (July 16) during a lure coursing trial to pick up the final 3 points needed to become a Field Champion! Cairo takes 5th place and Anubis brings home the turtle.
Rebel, at his very first show and at exactly 6 months of age, wins WD and BOW to pick up his first AKC Championship point on Sunday (Jul 10). We are very proud of him! Counts were (1-2) - (1-2).

Emerson takes 3rd place (out of 7 PHs) on Sunday (May 29) during a NOTRA meet. He picks up the second leg of his JOR title.
Rebel wins Best Puppy in Breed on Sunday (May 29) in the WWWA sponsored Conformation Fun Match. This was a great introduction for him into the world of conformation and I couldn't be happier with how he looked. Cairo also took his group placement.
Emerson ties for 1st place (out of 7 PHs) on Saturday (May 28) during a LGRA meet to pick up another 1.5 GRC points. Cairo ties for 4th place and Anubis takes home the turtle. Everyone ran wonderfully and had a great time. Way to go boys!
Emerson wins big at the CCC lure coursing trial in North Bend, WA on April 30/May 01. On Saturday (Apr 30) he won the open stakes for a 4 point major then won Best of Breed which gave him another point. He really turned on the speed and looked good out there. Then on Sunday (May 01) he again won the open stakes for a 5 point major! WooHoo!! Way to go Emerson.
Cairo takes 3rd place (out of 7 PHs) on Sunday (May 01) to pick up another 2 points towards his FCh title. Almost there!

Cairo takes home the prize at the Evergreen Basenji Club lure coursing trial on Mar 19. Not only did he win the open stakes for a 5 point major, he also won Best of Breed and then went on to win BEST IN FIELD!!!! What a huge accomplishment! We are very proud of him.
Emerson, at his very first lure coursing trial, came in 3rd place under very steep competition and took home his first 2 pts. Way to go Emerson. He is going to be a great runner!
Cairo picks up his first GRC point on Saturday (Mar 26) taking second place against 7 hounds running.
Emerson picks up his first two ORC points on Sunday (Mar 27) taking first place against 6 hounds running. He also earned the first leg of his JOR title.
